The Sustainability in Government programme aims to achieve improvements in the contributions the public sector makes to sustainability (particularly ecological sustainability) through actions including better environmental management, energy efficiency, public reporting and sustainable purchasing.
This website is designed to help people in the public sector make a better contribution to sustainability. It contains useful resources for integrating sustainability into how the public sector operates (such as with procurement and how we run our buildings), as well as demonstrating how the public sector can lead by example.
